Texas Licence Reciprocity

Reciprocity is an agreement between different states whereby an adjuster holding a licence in one state can successfully apply for a licence in another state and vice-versa. Texas grants licensing to nonresident individuals and entities. The Texas licence will be exempt from examination and criminal history report requirements from over 30 states.

The benefits of getting additional licenses
Reciprocity, licensing benefits, is licensed adjuster obtaining licenses in other states’ agreements without passing any additional exams. With Texas license as your home state or DHS license, you can apply for those state license through reciprocity.

The states highlighted in blue are reciprocal with Texas, meaning no additional exams are required. Hooray! Just apply and pay the required fees to obtain those states’ licenses.

Designated home state - Non-Licensing States

The states highlighted in grey are Designated home states to Texas. They don't offer adjuster licenses at all, including reciprocal licenses. However, you can take our approved course and apply for Texas adjusters license and enjoy the same benefits as Texas home state licensees.

Non-resident State Exam Required

The states highlighted in red are non-resident adjusters, which means you will have to take the state-required courses in those states and pass their state's exam.

The Fine Print For Alaska.

Arizona does not accept Designated Home State Licenses. If you hold an Alaska DHS License, you will need to pass the state exam in Arizona to work as a claims adjuster.
